About the foundation

A self-reliant society, one household at a time.

Sunshine KindHeart Foundation works where government effort thins out: the streets, markets and homes of grassroots communities across Africa.

Our story

Established to ease the challenges of the community.

Sunshine KindHeart Foundation is a non-governmental organisation established to ameliorate the challenges faced by youths, women, the aged and vulnerable children. The organisation complements government’s effort by reaching out to people in the communities and at the grassroots level.

The foundation works with grassroots communities across Africa, with its office headquartered at 57 Baale Street, Ajegunle, Lagos.

We believe in all human beings, regardless of status, ethnicity, religion, sex or political affiliation, and we have reached people at the grassroots by addressing community development, health, education, environment, and peace and conflict. We bridge the development gap by empowering individuals, youths and women’s groups morally, socially and economically, bringing about transformation in the society.

Motto

Humanity first.

Vision

A self-reliant society where individuals and groups explore their inner resources, realise their innate potential, and enjoy total wellbeing in a just society.

Mission

To empower rural communities towards self-help and development, linking them to opportunities in skills and vocational education, jobs, ICT and digital training and school scholarships, encouraging women and youths in particular towards indigenous technology and productivity.

To increase community participation in a peaceful society free of gender and other human-rights abuses, promoting good hygiene, health, education, youth and women’s inclusion, gender equality, the environment and conflict resolution, working closely with civil, government and non-government partners.

Leadership

Accountable to the community it serves.
